National Poetry Month Day 11: April 11, 2020

The word given to me today in the poem-a-day challenge was "Insect," which (I have recently learned) is almost as hard to rhyme as the word "orange." (My friend and mentor, Lori Degman, whose friends have been supplying the words for this challenge CLEARLY have played this "stump-the-poet" game before!) So, here's my best 24-hour attempt. For some reason, when I heard the word was "insect," I immediately started imagining what a sports coach might say if he were to give a pep talk to a mosquito... (I think the cabin fever may finally be eating away at my brain cells!) Anyway, here you go...
